We weren’t looking for normal, happy stories, however - but instead looked for Wedding HORROR Stories! Our Favorite Wedding Day Horror Stories are Being Posted One a Day Over the Next Few Days... Airline Loses Wedding Dress Now That is a Wedding Day Horror Story! “My Husband and I decided to get married overseas, in his hometown of Devon in England. We packed everything up and checked our entire luggage - after double and triple checking to ensure everything we needed was with us. I was planning to bring the wedding dress with me as a carry-on item, but they insisted I check the wedding dress with the rest of our luggage and that it would arrive safely. After the long flight, we were waiting for our luggage. Soon enough, the belt was empty and we were still without our luggage. Turns out that it had been sent another route, and wouldn’t arrive for another 3 days!!! Luckily we had travelers insurance to purchase new items - but I had to substitute an inexpensive wedding dress over my Mom’s which I had chosen to wear on my Big Day." Yet another lesson on how to avoid the wedding day horror story by Knowing How to Pack for Your Destination Wedding... and not leaving the wedding dress at the discretion of the airline.
